Plastic hangovers from dirty parties

This post was inspired by Toons great movie of the mountains of trash created by carnivals in Belgium.

Here are some of my photos documenting the piles of polystyrene and plastic created by fun days out in Thailand. This is why we take our reusable tin containers out with us along with tin cup and folding cutlery and reusable chop sticks. Yes we clank but we don’t leave behind rubbish with a lifespan of centuries. And if that sounds smug….don’t care.

And time I come away I am bringing my own straw .

  • Plastic lasts for ever and we are using it to make one use, throwaway items. We have created everlasting rubbish and plastic litter is increasing exponentially. Plastic pollution is destroying the landscape, killing wildlife and poisoning the seas.

    Evidence is also emerging that the plastic we use in everyday to wrap our food, wear next to our skin and use to decorate our homes may well be poisoning us.
