Great Buns

Really!  I mean buns as in muffins …..

Baking buns is so fun but try getting plastic free bun cases and you will be in difficulties.
First I went for these silicone cases.
They came plastic wrapped but are reusable so I felt the overall gain outweighed the immediate packaging crime – see them here.
Then came the mark two silicone reusable bun cases in cardboard packaging

BUT Now I have found these paper cases in a cardboard box. They do three different sizes and are as green as a leaf.

    Hi,

I find your blog very interesting but for this item … well, I’m not sure why they are even necessary. I bake my muffins directly in the tin … with a little bit of greasing, they pop out just fine without any need for a baking cups … Just a thought.

Yes I suppose so – though you do get bigger buns with cases and I guess if you were doing that wedding cake thing where you bake muffins you might want the cases. I try to find as many alternatives to plastic as I can. There are quite a lot of things illustrated here that I don’t use on a regular basis but I try not to be too prescriptive about stuff. Eg should you wish to make and use your own fake tan – and beyond testing it to see if it works I don’t, it can be done. Thanks for the kind words and useful tips.
