You know some time ago I logged about Twinings and their plastic free tea bags – the box is not wrapped in plastic and bags used to come loose.
So pleased , means I can have biodegradable tea
Well then, feel my horror when I opened the familiar yellow box to be greeted by a plastic crackling and a gold shiny packet.
Argghh… no … wait a minute… un arghh. Its biodegradable and compostable packaging HURRAH.
However they are teabags and Wikipedia claims “Heat-sealed tea bag paper usually has a heat-sealable thermoplastic such as PVC or polypropylene as a component fiber on the inner tea bag surface.” I’m sure Twinings dont do that, and if they do I don’t want to know.
La la la fingers in ears time.
Dont like tanin tea? They also do plastic free fruit teas – see below
